Achieving with Integrity

“You can accomplish anything in life, provided that you do not mind who gets the credit.” (Harry S. Truman)

Many of us are driven to lead a life that makes a positive difference, but then struggle to implement our aspirations. The “how to” of getting things done is both simple & complex. We are able to achieve little in life if we don’t develop personal strategies for initiating & sustaining action. In doing this, we must:

Engage purposefully with people about the things that matter to you & them – this includes friends, colleagues, enemies, stakeholders & fence sitters

Influence their thinking from within a purposeful relationship – look for win/win, find out what they want, let them know what is important to you & why

Inspire & motivate them (although we are never responsible for another’s motivation) – help them to both acknowledge, & work from, their best intentions

Achieve real, sustainable results – results talk!; success motivates further success & builds an expectation of achievement.
